Rilla Alexander Daugherty, 86 of Lockhart, died Wednesday May 4, 1988 in Gonzales Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital. She was born in Brady, Tx. May 19, 1901, the daughter of Jesse Gilbert and Martha Adora Huff Mooring.

She was of Baptist faith and active in the Tilmon Community Center which was to honor her with a plaque for her great contributions to the organization May 20th.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Noah Alexander and Rufus Daugherty; and a daughter Maggie Lee Bailey.

Survivors are her son Raymond C. Botkin of Canyon Lake; daughter Loney Swanson of Hoquaim, Wash.; step-son, Boots Daugherty and daughter-in-law Bea of Lockhart. her most cherished and dearest friends; step-daughters Ella Jones of LaGrange and Eula Voigt of Del Valle; step-son Albert Barnard of Red Rock; grandchildren, Aubrey E. Bailey, Patricia L. Lytle, Virgil A. Bailey. Raymond McWayne Botkin, Kelly D. Sharp, Kris D. Botkin, Emily Loise Jones. Walter T. Swanson, Joan Swanson Hickman, and Delores Swanson Townsend; 30 g/grandchildren; seven gg/grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held May 8th with the Rev. Mack Blackwell officiating burial in Lockhart City Cemetery.
