FUNERAL SERVICES FOR THREE BROTHERS BURNED, HELD TODAY

Funeral services were held this morning at the Dorothy Catholic church, Rev Father Grimonprez officiating, for Albert, August and William Landa, bachelor farmers who were burned to death Sunday evening when the shack in which they were living on their farm near Dorothy was destroyed by fire.

The house was in a grove and the tragedy was not discovered until a brother living on an adjoining farm went over Monday to visit them It is believed that the fire was started by an overheated stove. August had returned home about one o’clock Monday morning after spending the evening at the home of Louis Boutain, a neighbor.

Red Lake County authorities viewed the remains and found Albert and August under the wreckage of the bed and William near the foot of where the stairs had been.

Two brothers of the young men died in the World War.
