Celia A BURKE 76 widow of Frederick REQUA died monday night at the home of her dau. Mrs Harry O. Van TASSELL 18, North Street, Binghamton after a lingering illness. She was born in St. Johnsville June 12, 1860 a Daughter of Robert BURKE and Margaret ROCKERFELLER. When 28 years old she moved to Amsterdam, where she lived untill five years ago, when she went to Binghamton to make her home with her dau. A devoted mother and a kindly neighbor, she was well known and widely esteemed in Amsterdam and made many friends in Binghamton during her stay there.
Those surviving Mrs REQUA are two dau. Mrs (Ada M.) Robert GILLESPIE, Albany and Mrs Van TASSELL, Binghamton; one grandson Harry GILLESPIE, Binghamton; a sister Mrs Dora SALISBURY, St. JOHNSVILLE and one niece.
