He was born October 5, 1938 in Charlotte, NC, and was the son of David Bivens Caddell and Faye (Skidmore) Caddell.
Mr. Caddell graduated from Charlotte Central High School, class of 1956. He attended Mars Hill College, where he played baseball and basketball. He played professional baseball for two seasons in the Western Carolina League and the Appalachian League.
Mr. Caddell served in the U. S. Army with the 312th Postal Unit. He coached youth baseball for several years. He was a Letter Carrier with the U. S. Postal Service for twenty years and was a professional caddy on the PGA tours for the last 20 years. He walked many miles and he was loved by many that knew him. He is now walking the streets of gold. Mr. Caddell's employers were the who's who of the PGA. Harry was a member of Green Memorial Baptist Church.
Services for Mr. Caddell will be 2 PM, Monday, April 5, 2004 at McEwen Charlotte Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:30 PM. Graveside service will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Dale Shields will officiate all services.
