From The Kansas City Times, Wed. January 30 1963:
"Carl T. Stites, 47, of 9930 McGee died of pneumonia Monday night at the Trinity Lutheran hospital. He was born in Webb City, MO., and moved here 28 years ago from Sarcoxie, Mo. Mr. Stites was a clerk at the main postoffice 14 years. He was in the army in World War II. He was a member of the Santa Fe Hills Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Felice Stites of the home; his mother, Mrs. Rosie Stites, Reno, Nev., and two brothers, Harry Stites, Fresno Calif. and Lee Stites, Seattle. Services will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday at the Muehlebach chapel; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 o'clock today at the chapel. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the Fellowship fund at the church"

Carl was the father of Ronald Stites, who died at the age of 6 in 1941 and is buried at Sarcoxie, MO., and Carolyn Stites who died in 1954 and who is buried in Green Lawn.
