DANVILLE -- Mrs. Essie Lois Nelson, 63, of Route 2, Danville, died Monday at Decatur General Hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel with Tom Phillips and the Rev. Jack Freeman officiating.
Burial was to be in Johnson Chapel.
Survivors include her husband, C.J. Nelson; three daughters, Mrs. Peggy Payne, Mrs. Maxine Hembree Mrs. Carolyn Puckett, all of Hartselle; a son, Larry Nelson of Danville; four brothers, Titus Johnson and Burleson Johnson, both of Tuscumbia, Coleman Johnson of Somerville and Hezekiah Johnson of Eva; three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Narmore, Mrs. Opal Johnson and Mrs. Evie McCougle, all of Tuscumbia; and 14 grandchildren.
