Husband of Sarah Coleman. Father of Fannie and Evelina Brown. Son of Francis Asbury Brown and Edith Edy Preston. He was also married to Nancy Elizabeth Hill. Their children were Edgar, Ernest, Selina, Edward, Sarah, Francis, and Thomas Brown.

In addition to being a farmer, merchant and lawyer, Wallace was also elected to many public offices. He was the County Attorney for Johnson County, State Representative and Senator where he gained distinction in speeches pertaining to the Union and Confederacy during the Civil War.
