Marie (Dry) Cox Brister, of Port Arthur, passed away Wednesday at her residence.
Born to Albert S. Dry and Ludie B. Baker Dry, she was a resident of Port Arthur for sixty four years.
She was a longtime member of Procter Baptist Church and was a retired sales clerk from Weiners Department Store after ten years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Cox; brothers, Henry Dry, Sidney Dry and Albert Dry, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Rufus Brister; daughter, Vicki Johnston and husband, Everett; son, David Cox and wife, Sherry; sisters, Virginia Cox and husband, Millard, Patsy Dunahoe; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. Rick Erwin officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
