Ira Franklin Bonds, 80,died in his home on RR 7,Decatur at 8 am today of complications.
He was born in Macoupin county,Nov. 21,1856 and was married to Margaret Vowell,who died in 1926. While still a youth he moved to Macon county near Long Creek, where he has lived nearly his entire life. He was a member of the Methodist church of Long Creek.
He leaves a son, Clyde Bonds and a daughter,Mrs.O.B Tucker both of RR 7, Decatur. He also leaves a brother,Don Bonds,Cut Banks, Mont. and two sisters,Mrs.Beckie Davidson,Oakley and Mrs. Edith Richardson ,Monette,Mo.
Funeral services will be in the Dawson & Wikoff chapel at 3:30 pm Thursday. Burial arrangements are incomplete.
