Mr. Avery Ewing Williams, age 70 of Shelbyville, Tennessee died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville. He is a native of Bedford County and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Mr. Williams is the son of the late Boyd Williams and Sarah Claxton Williams Clark.

Mr. Williams is survived by his four children: Keith, Karyn and Derek Williams all of Shelbyville and Melissa Trice. He has nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Buren Williams and one sister, Frances Wilkes.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 6, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at Gowen-Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be on Tuesday July 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Gowen-Smith chapel conducted by Bro. Don Harrison. Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville.
