Conrad Bath

Conrad Bath, 80, Johnstown, died Jan. 8 at his home.

He was born March 3, 1912, in Loveland to Jacob and Mary Stroh Bath. He married Katherine Sterkel on Aug. 31, 1939, in Boulder.

He worked for 35 years with the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired in 1975. He also worked at the Great Western Sugar factory for many years. He lived his whole life in the Loveland area.

He attended the United Methodist Church of Johnstown. He enjoyed collecting and making arrowheads, gardening and fly fishing. He played the accordion for his own polka band for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Bath, Johnstown; two sons, Bill Bath and wife Karline, Littleton, Jack Bath and wife Nancy, Loveland; one daughter, Kathy Elkins and husband Michael, Johnstown; six brothers, Hank, John, Jake, and Daniel Bath, Loveland, Sam Bath, Thornton, Manuel Bath, Evans; two sisters, Hannah Zimmerman and Rachel Delauguter, Loveland; five grandchildren, Teresa Bath, Roger Bath, Kirk Bath, Thor Elkins and Cynthia Elkins; and great-grandchildren, Brie and Jade Bath.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church of Johnstown, with the Rev. Marvin Essing officiating.

Cremation will be conducted.

There will be a reception with the family after the services.

Memorial contributions may be made to McKee Medical Center in care of Allnutt Funeral Service’s Hunter Chapel.
