Avaristo Valdéz, age 72, lifelong resident of Bernalillo, passed away at an Albuquerque hospital after an illness, on December 9, 1967.
Avaristo was the son of Margarito Valdéz and Julianita (Lovato) Valdéz.
Avaristo is survived by one sister, Mrs. Antonia Leyba and her husband, Liberato of Bernalillo and 17 nieces and nephews.
Avaristo was a veteran of World War I and belonged to the World War I Veterans organization, American Legion Post #72 and DAV Cutting Chapter 3.
A Rosary will be recited this evening at Alameda Morturay, 9420 Fourth St. NW. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, with interment at Santa Fé National Cemetery.
