Oscar Harner was the son of G. W. and Charlotte (Walker) Harner. He was born June 9, 1892 in Lima, Ohio. He was five foot seven inches tall and had a fair complexion.
MILITARY RECORD:
Enlisted October 1, 1913 at Columbus, Ohio. Assigned to the Calvary, Army. Discharged with rank of Sergeant on May 21, 1919 at Baltimore, Maryland. Enlisted May 22, 1919 at Baltimore, Maryland. Served as a QMC with the U.S. Army. Discharged with rank of Sergeant on July 18, 1921 at Camp A. L. Hern, California. Pension awarded on Certificate No. C 212 653.
He married Ruby on November 9, 1943 and was the father of Jerrol Olin Harner, born 1944.
He had been a member of Camp White, Oregon in June and July 1951. He entered the Washington Veterans' Home February 24, 1959. He died there on January 27, 1960 and is buried in the Home Cemetery.
