"Michael Racho"
Michael Racho, 148 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton, died Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient the past three weeks. Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Kolessar) Racho. He was self-employed as a building contractor for many years, building several local churches and, prior to his retirement, he was employed by George Racho Trucking. He was a member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, the American Legion Post No. 76, the Freeland Post VFW, and was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 363rd Air Service Group.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents, were the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Margaret Patrick, Andrew, John, Mrs. Anna Knoblaugh, Mrs. Mary Chunko, Mrs. Elizabeth Skernolis and Joseph Racho.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., Second Street entrance. Divine Liturgy with the Office of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. A parastas service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Byzantine Catholic School, North Wyoming Street, Hazleton.

The funeral of Michael Racho, 148 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton, who died Thursday at the Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center, was held Saturday morning from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. The Rev. Robert Tobolski, MSC, gave the blessing at the funeral home, was celebrant of the Divine Liturgy with the Rite of Christian burial in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church and also gave the blessing at the chapel in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Pallbearers, all nephews, were Andrew Adams, Jerry, Steve, Andrew, Thomas, and Joseph Racho.
