Gabe Yates Buried Here Last Thursday Afternoon
Gabe Yates, a brother of our townsman, J.P. Yates, Jr., died at the home of his daughter in Frederick on Tuesday of last week after a lingering illness at the ripe age of seventy-one years.
The deceased was a member and minister of the Church of Christ for many years, having lived and preached in and around Comanche for a number of years. He was well known here and loved by all. He leaves a wife, four sons, one daughter, two brothers and one sister to mourn his death.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Comanche on last Thursday afternoon with Rev. M.O. Daley officiating. Yates & Son, undertakers in charge. Interment in Fairlawn Cemetery.
