LAKELAND - Iona Alderman, age 96, passed away of heart failure on Sunday, June 14, 2009.
Mrs. Alderman was a lifelong resident of Lakeland, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was predeceased by husband Maurice Alderman. Survivors include her sons: Karl Alderman of Lakeland, FL and Wayne Alderman of Arcadia, FL; daughters: Ruth Ann Hathcock of Lakeland, FL; and Marcella Earnest of Alabama; sister, Eula Mae Caples of Minneola, FL; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchild and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17th at Wells Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 noon at Mt. Enon Cemetery.
