DEATH TAKES JAS. BOSWELL. Had Been Seriously Ill for Eight Weeks.
James Boswell, 69, former employee of the Universal Atlas cement plant, a resident of Kansas since 1910, passed away Saturday afternoon at 3:45 at the home of his son, Joe Boswell, 415 East Myrtle, after a serious illness of eight weeks. Mr. Boswell was born in Kickapoo, Illinois, July 3, 1868 and at Central City, Nebraska, on June 9, 1891, he was united in marriage to Lucy E. Blair and to this union were born seven children. Mrs. Boswell preceded her husband in death, May 5, 1922.
Surviving are: seven children, Oscar Boswell of Fairfax, Missouri; Jessie Boswell of Columbus, Nebraska; Anabell brace of Henryetta, Oklahoma; Cora Davis of Henryetta, Oklahoma; Johnnie Boswell of Columbus, Nebraska; Bertha Adams of Independence and Joe Boswell of Independence.
Funeral services will be held from the Potts chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2 o' clock. Rev R. L. Mobley will be in charge with burial in Mount Hope cemetery.

BOSWELL RITES HELD
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Potts funeral home for James Boswell, well known resident of this city who died last week-end. Rev. R. L. Mobley was in charge and burial was in Mount Hope cemetery.
