William Buddenhagen, well known and highly respected citizen, who died on Wednesday, had lived in Sandusky more than 50 years and was well known as an interior decorator. In former years he decorated many churches and theatres in Sandusky as well as in many other cities. Wm. Buddenhagen was born in Mecklenburg, Germany in 1845 and came to this country in 1864 and made his home in Sandusky. In 1866 he was married to Miss Albertina Fisher. To this union were born six children; one son and five daughters, one daughter preceding him to the grave 16 years ago. Wm. Buddenhagen is survived by one son, Edward R. and four daughters; Mrs. Fred Dankert of Toledo, Mrs. Emma Conley, Mrs. Geo. Weninger and Mrs. Chas. Schnurr, all of Sandusky; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will take place at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Emma Conley, 217 Neil st., today at 2 p.m.
