age 87 yr. 6 mo. He was for more than 43 years a bold, faithful & successful minister of Jesus Christ; for more than a quarter of a century the beloved Pastor of the Baptist Church in this town & father of the late lamented George Dana Boardman.

From "The History of Livermore" by Ira Thompson Monroe (1928)...:
* Rev. Sylvanus Boardman came to Livermore, ME in 1789, and was a native of Martha's Vineyard.

Sylanus Boardman had a few other children, one of them was George Dana Boardman (Senior)an early missionary to Burma. There is some facinating history around this family. You can check out George Dana Boardman's memoirs at: https://archive.org/details/memoirofgeorge00king
There is also a document written by the founder of Colby College in Waterville, ME about George Dana Boardman.
