Lin married George William Meseke on 25 Jul 1935 at the home of Otto and Dena Brands in Overland, St. Louis County, Missouri. The Mesekes were the parents of 2 children.
Lin was a homemaker. George held a variety of jobs over the years, but was best known as a barber in north St. Louis County. He owned his own shop for many years on at 2060 Chambers Road near Halls Ferry Road.
Lin's mother, Alvina Kamp, lived with the family for many years until her death in 1979.
The Mesekes were members of Salem Lutheran Church in Black Jack, Missouri. They later attended Our Master Lutheran Church until it closed, and eventually became members of Friedens Chapel in north St. Louis County.
Lin and George continued to live in their home adjacent to George's barber shop after his retirement.
At the time of her death at Christian Northeast Hospital, Lin was 88 years, 6 months and 5 days old. She was survived by her husband, George; 1 daughter, Shirley Adler; 1 son, Dave Meseke; 2 granddaughters; and 2 great-granddaughters.
In addition to her mother, Lin was preceded in death by her father; 2 brothers, Elmer and Johnny Albers; and 1 sister, Viola Niehaus.
Visitation was held on 15 Apr 1998 at John Stygar and Son Funeral Home in north St. Louis County. Funeral services were conducted there the following day and burial was at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Black Jack.
Lin's husband, George, passed away in 2006 at the age of 101.
