On the 14 December 1898 Charles William Pearce, & Elizabeth Housley were married & sealed together at the LDS Logan Temple in Logan,Cache,Utah.
1899 ~

"...That year in November, Charles with his wife's brother were hauling wood from the canyon. Charles had bought a fine pair of young horses. His brother-in-law's team got stalled so Charles took this team from his load to help pull the other load out. In passing the other load a stick stuck his horse in the flank. It kicked with both feet striking him in the stomach. They brought him home and the doctors did all they could but peritonitis set in and he passed away leaving his wife and one child..."

this was told by Charles' brother Francis in the story
"A Few Incidents in the Life of Francis Marion Somes Pearce."
