Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary for Leonard B. "Len" Humphreys, 59, 1554 Glendale Drive, who died Friday, January 24, at his home. He had cancer.
Mr. Humphreys was a salesman for Kaw Valley Produce Co. Previously he served in the Army during World War II, then served in the Air Force from the Korean conflict until he retired in 1970.
He was born April 13, 1926, at Marysville, Idaho, the son of Horace M. and Carrie Reynolds Humphreys. He grew up at Ashton, Idaho, and lived at Circleville 14 years before he moved to Topeka about a year ago.
He was married to Shirley M. Massey Dec. 22, 1954, at Forbes Air Force Base. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jeff A. Humphreys, at home, Sgt. Rick L. Humphreys, with the Marine Corps at Okinawa, Japan, and Sgt. Dan W. Humphreys, with the Air Force at Aviana, Italy; a daughter, Lori Leigh Fickel, Topeka; two brothers Walter Humphreys, Olympia, Wash., and Max Humphreys, Eugene, Ore.; two sisters, Selma Traescher, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Melna Martineau, St. George, Utah; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Soldier Cemetery at Soldier in Jackson County. Memorial contributions may me made to the American Cancer Society, 2913 Plass Court, 66611.
