Kenneth Glenn Bean was born on 28 May 1920 in Kingston, Marshall County, Oklahoma to Robert Daniel Beane Sr. and Rebecca Pearlie (Henry) Beane. He died on 07 Jun 2009 in Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas at the age of 89. He graduated from Edinburg Junior College (present-day, University of Texas-Pan American) in 1940 and fro Texas Tech University in 1942 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a member of the engineering fraternity, Tau Beta Pi. He married Ella Beth Melton on 26 Sep 1942. Kenneth worked at Texaco Port Arthur Refinery retiring in 1976 having reached the office of management of manufacturing. He loved the outdoors, gardening, hunting, and sports, especially tennis, bowling, and golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his son, Dennis Clarke Beane. He is survived by one son, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one daughter-in-law, one brother-in-law, and three sister-in-laws.
