Jerry Eugene Zelasko, Sr., of Johns Island, died June 6, 2009.

Born in Argos, IN, he was a son of the late Joseph Casper Zelasko and Laura Hartung Zelasko.

Mr. Zelasko was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. He was a non destructive testing instructor with the Charleston Naval Shipyard and retired with forty-two years of service.

Jerry was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Rifle Club and he enjoyed ballroom dancing.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Eugene Zelasko of North Charleston, Thomas Lee Zelasko Sr. of Goose Creek, and Jerry Eugene Zelasko, Jr. of Johns Island, a daughter, Bonni Jo Rabon of North Charleston, his stepchildren, Donna Nash of Charleston, and Thurman Pellum, Jr. of Moncks Corner, three brothers, Jack Zelasko of Arkansas, Jon Zelasko, Sr. and Jim Zelasko, both of Johns Island and numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild.
