Margaret Emma Yocom Holdaway passed away April 13, 2002, at the age of 88, at the home of her daughter in Riverton, Utah.
Margaret was born Oct 2, 1913 in Salt Lake City, UT the second child of Frank and Elise Holder Yo-com. Margaret grew up in Salt Lake City, and graduated from West High School. She married Hugh VonLoy Holdaway Aug 27, 1932. They lived in Lindon and Orem, UT. Mom and Dad had five children, 23 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and 14 great great-grandchildren.
During her life Margaret was active in the LDS church, The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, the Lions Club and at one time reported for the Daily Herald.
Margaret is survived by her children, Mareen Brown (Victor L. Jr.), Riverton, UT, Robert Earl Holdaway (Shirley), Newnan, GA, Donald Hugh Holdaway (Gayle), Lindon, UT, Dennis Frank Holdaway (Carol), Orem, UT, Mrs Marvon (Alice) Holdaway, Pleasant Grove, UT; and siblings, Mrs. Frank (Nona) Yocom, Salt Lake City, UT, Mildred Orband (Bob), NV, Beth Gerritsen (Henry), Salt Lake City, UT, Keith Yocom (Gail), West Valley City, UT, Alvin Yocom (Beverly), Pleasant Grove, UT, Mrs. Karl (Barbara) Yocom, Gerald Yocom (Barbara), TN.
Services will be Wed. April 17, 2002, 11 a.m., Vermont 2nd Ward Chapel, 400 N. 400 E, Orem. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary, 185 E. Center, Provo, UT Tues. April 16, 2002, 6-8 p.m. or Wed. at the chapel one hour prior to services. Interment, Orem City Cemetery.
