SUPPLY – Mr. Willie 'Billy' Rhoades Caison age 77 of 2609 Wild Cat Court went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday April 21, 2008 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Caison was born in Brunswick County on July 8, 1930 and was the son of the late Jessie Rhodes Caison and Ruth E. Varnam Caison. Mr. Caison was a Devoted Christian and served the Lord at Gospel Center Baptist Church where he was a member and served as Deacon. He was a loving husband and devoted father. He was a commercial fisherman for 55 years and owned and operated the Shrimp Boat 'Bug Hunter.'
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Emma Lea Stanley Caison; two sons, Michael Rhodes Caison Sr. of Supply and Kevin Layne Caison and wife Tammy of Supply; grandsons, Michael Rhodes Caison Jr. and wife Diana Ivey Caison, Grant Allan Caison, Trey Allan Caison; granddaughter, Katelyn Ellis; great granddaughter, Candice Evette Caison; honorary grandson, Lonnie Varnam; a brother, Bobby Gene Caison of Thurmond, NC; a sister, June Caison James of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held Thursday April 24, 2008 at 2 pm at Gospel Center Baptist Church with Reverend Toddie Fennell, Reverend Leo Cannon, Reverend Doug Worley, Reverend Devon Varnam officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gospel Center Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Danny Galloway, Sammy Varnam, Pete Singletary, Eddie Galloway, James Arthur Robbins, Dusty Varnam.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Fonnie Ward, Richard Hallman, Ennis Swain, Bobby Hicks, Bob 'Barefoot Bob' Haney, Elwood Cheers and members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
