Jane is the daughter of Alexander Kerr and Sarah Bell. Two of her siblings are Ephraim and Joseph, below. ("History of Kerrs and Kin 1730-1930," pg. 9.)
On the 1860 Burke's Mill, Augusta Co., VA census, I found several Kerrs including farmer Ephraim Kerr, 48; Jane, 55; and farmer Joseph, 46, all VA born. They reside next to Col. Nathaniel Kerr and family.
