Birth: 1800
Death: 1867

Jane is the daughter of Alexander Kerr and Sarah Bell. Two of her siblings are Ephraim and Joseph, below. ("History of Kerrs and Kin 1730-1930," pg. 9.)

On the 1860 Burke's Mill, Augusta Co., VA census, I found several Kerrs including farmer Ephraim Kerr, 48; Jane, 55; and farmer Joseph, 46, all VA born. They reside next to Col. Nathaniel Kerr and family.

See Administrator's Sale notice in the Staunton Spectator & General Advertiser, dated 5 Mar 1867, by administrator David Kerr for Ephraim and Jane Kerr, both deceased at their residence on 15 Mar 1867.

See on right, a copy of a notice in the Staunton Spectator & General Advertiser, dated 26 Aug 1873. It's for a public sale on 13 Sep 1873 for 2 tracts of land, 67 acres each of the late Ephraim and Jane Kerr, by David Kerr, agent for heirs. The Middle River lots border Col. Nathaniel Kerr and Daniel Garber

Nathaniel Kerr, buried here, is the son of Alexander's brother John.
