Casper Groene was a son of Joseph and Theresa (Kessler) Groene.
The Groene family moved to a farm northwest of Winfield by 1915.
Casper married Lucille Tracy in Wichita on June 2, 1956.
He and his brothers, Albert and Joseph were farmers and operated a farm until his retirement.
