Allen P. Mills, 63, of 813 Montgomery St., retired employee of the Potsdam Paper Corp., was pronounced dead on arrival Saturday evening at the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital.
A prayer service will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at McLellan Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. James A. Delbell officiating. Burial will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria; four sons, three daughters, 12 grandchildren; three brothers, a sister, and several nieces and nephews.
Born Dec. 9, 1926, in Ogdensburg, a son of Floyd and Bertha Graveline Mills , he was graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. He also served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Mills married Gloria T. McKee Aug. 26, 1950, in St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Floyd Brown officiating.
He was employed as a machinist at Diamond International in Ogdensburg until the plant closed. He then worked for the Potsdam Paper Corp. until his retirement in January 1988.
Mr. Mills was a communicant of St. Mary's Cathedral. He was also a member and past exalted ruler of Ogdensburg Elks Lodge 772 and a member of the Ogdensburg Knights of Columbus.
