Obituary of Clayton Butler

Clayton L. Butler, 83, of Nora died at Villas of Shannon on Tuesday, May 13, 1986.

He was the son of Delbert and Mary (Bechtold) Butler and was born on October 12, 1902.

He married Edna McKee on January 9, 1926 in Nora. She died May 27, 1985.

He was a retired maintenance worker from Structo Manufacturing.

Surviving are two daughters, Eileen (Robert) Delker of Nora and Dorothy (James) Franklin of Elmore, MN.; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother and one sister.

Grave side services were held at 11 A.M. Thursday, May 16 at Ladies Union Cemetery, Stockton. The Rev. Carl Lundgren, pastor of Nora Community Church, officiated.

Hermann Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Nora - Clayton L. Butler, 83, of Nora, died Tuesday morning at Villas of Shannon Nursing Home, Shannon, IL. He retired from the maintenance department of Structo Manufacturing. Born on Oct 12, 1902, in Nora Township, he was the son of Delbert and Mary (Bechtold) Butler. He married Edna McKee in Nora on Jan 9, 1926. She died May 27, 1985. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Eileen (Robert) Delker of Nora and Mrs. Dorothy (James) Franklin of Elmore, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister, in addition to his wife. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ladies Union Cemetery, Stockton. The Rev. Carl Lundgren, pastor of the Nora Community Church will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were completed by Hermann Funeral Home, Stockton.
