Mrs. Sarah Parsons, 8S years old, the mother of Mayor D. R. Alford, died early yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. L. Isham, Chadron, Neb., according to word received yesterday by the mayor. The body will be brought to Leavenworth for interment. It will arrive here at 7:30 this morning over the Missouri Pacific. Funeral services will be held at the Cathedral. Definite arrangements will be announced later. Mrs. Parsons, a native of Ireland, lived in Leavenworth for sixty years. She first came here about the year 1857 and made the city her home until three years ago when she moved to Chadron to live with her daughter. The deceased is survived by four children: D. R.
