Oretha was born the daughter of the late Gobern Henry and Zula Elizabeth Clark Bryan. She married Gaillard Merl Workman on January 4, 1935 in South Muddy Twp., IL. He died October 9, 1963. She married William H. Betts on June 2, 1979 in Chenoa. He survives in Chenoa.
Also surviving is one daughter, Martha L. (Marvin) Telford, Pontiac; two sons, Howard (Barbara) Workman, Ottawa, Mark L. (Brita) Workman, Rockford; one step son, Stephen R. Betts, Birchwood, Oregon; one foster son, Richard Baerlocher, Portland, Oregon; one brother, Maynard D. Bryan, Lufkin, TX; twelve grandchildren, six step grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren and four step great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, one daughter and one grandson.
Mrs. Betts was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chenoa, the VFW auxiliary and volunteered at the Meadows Mennonite Home. She also was a member of Bill's Fun Band.
