Death came Sunday Afternoon for Mrs A. Jensen of Askov, who had been ill and hospitalized since August 14, when she suffered a broken hip in a fall while in Minneapolis for a visit with relatives. She had reached her 82nd birthday Nov 13.
Born in 1863, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Soren Andersen of Sjaelland, Denmark, Marie Sorensen came with her parents to Cedar Falls Iowa, in 1882. On Feb. 24, 1890 she united in marriage at Alden Minnesota, to Andreas Jensen of Cedar Falls, the latter's brother Rev. Jens Myland, officating. They lived in Cedar Falls, Parksburg and Waverly, Iowa and came to Askov in 1914, settlingon a farm two miles southwest on the village where Mr. Jensen passed away Nov.17 1922.

Mrs. Jensen was a member and active worker in the Danish Lutheran church and Danish Ladies' Aid, being ever willing to help with all church activities. She kept a good home for her large family and was a good wife and mother. She left the home farm in 1934 and more recently had lived in her own home in the west part of the Askov Village.
