Lilly Corene Kennedy, age 88, of Holt, passed away Saturday morning, March 24, 2001, in a local hospital. She was born on September 7, 1912, in Covington County, Ala., and had lived in Okaloosa County for the past 40 years. Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker and attended the Holt Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hanford M. Green, one son, John H. Green, and one daughter, Lillian Worrells.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mildred and Leon Johns of Holt; one sister, Lora Palmer of Spartanburg, N.C.; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 26, from the chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Revs. Jeff Scurlock and Larry Batson officiating. Burial will follow in the Almarante Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
