STEELE, Francis
Born Sept. 30, 1936, in Weathers, Okla. Went home to her Savior on May 25, 2009, at age 72. She married the late Hoyt Steele in 1952, they moved to Palmdale in 1961, where they raised their children. She was ill for many years not allowing her to enjoy her gardening and crocheting which she loved. She devoted her life to her Lord, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her five children; Annetta Shields, Lloyd and Roger Steele of Palmdale; Deana (Vern) Mullins of Rosamond; and Darlene (Jerry) Grant of Eugene, Ore., grandchildren; Jeff Cochran, Jeannie and J.J. Grant, Trena, Jason, and Kaelin Sheilds, Gerald (Margie) Mullins, Travis (Mia) Mullins, Richard (Ashley) and Tyler Steele, great-grandchildren, Layla Mullins and Ezra Steele. Also survived by sisters, Laverne Durlin, Patsy (Burl) Grohs, of Apple Valley and Peggy Duchene of Plano, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandchild baby Deana Mullins. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., with Service at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2009, both at Assembly of God Church, 2881 C St. Rosamond, CA 93560. Graveside service to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster.
