Mrs. Edith BUCHER, 53, a lifelong resident of the Athens and Akron vicinities, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at her home three miles east of Akron after an illness of one year. Mrs. Bucher was born near Athens on Aug. 19, 1902, to Phillip and Dora WARREN MIKESELL. In 1923 she was married to Emmett ESHELMAN, who died in September, 1939. Last year, Mrs. Bucher was married to Rolla BUCHER, who survives. The deceased was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God. Survivors, besides the husband, are a son, Garland ESHELMAN, Logansport; a stepson, Frank BUCHER, of near Akron; one granddaughter; three step-grandchildren and the stepmother, Mrs. Pearl MOORE, Athens. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Akron Methodist church. The Rev. Charles GOLDEN, Denver, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Claude FAWNS of Akron. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the Moyer-Haupert funeral home in Akron until noon Tuesday and at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.
