CLARENCE ANDRIST OF WASIOJA, dies
Clarence Andrist, 76, of Wasioja, died at the Rochester Health Care Center on August 4, 1982. He was a lifelong resident of Wasioja area and a retired Dodge County Highway Department employee. For the past year he had resided at the health center.
He was born in Milton Township Dodge County, Minnesota on March 7, 1904 to Fred and Emma (Yoneli) Andrist. On December 17, 1930 he married Lavina Weeks in Dodge Center. The couple resided in Wasioja until he retired in 1974.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Lavina; two daughters, Mrs. John (Donna) Wees of Rochester and Mrs Phyllis Estes of St. Paul; two sons, Jerry and James, both of Washington state; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Alfred of Pine Island; and a sister, Mr. Pearl Weis of Pine Island. A son and four brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the First Congregational Church in Mantorville at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with the Reverend Ambrose Collins officiating. Burial was in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja, Minnesota.
