FIRE AT PHILLIPSTON
The Cotton and Woollen Factory in Phillipston, belonging to Col. Ignatius Goulding, took fire about 8 o'clock in the evening of the 9th inst. by his Cotton Spinner's accidentally oversetting a lamp into the picker - and in a short time this factory and an old one near by, with all their machinery and other contents, excepting two bales of cotton and some small articles, were consumed .--These buildings and machinery cost the original owners over ten thousand dollars

On the night of the 21st ult. the Trip-Hammer Shop, Coal-House and contents, belonging to Col. Goulding, and situated in Phillipston Village, was destroyed by fire. Loss estimated at 600 dollars.
