Earl J. Ellis, 66, of 1306 Josephine St., retired employee of the 7-Up Bottling Co., died Friday evening in Edgerton Memorial Community Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 27, 1908, in Bancroft, Wis., and had been a Janesville resident for 45 years. He was married to Esther Radloff July 2, 1946, in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Elrod, Janesville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Walter Lichtfuss, Rockford, Ill.; two stepsons, Marvin Radloff, Janesville, and Walter Radloff, Whitewater; three brothers, Albert, Bancroft, Ernie, Edgerton, and Bernie, Jackson, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hedden, Janesville, Mrs. Belle Atkinson, Tomahawk, Mrs. Sadie Hutchinson, Seattle, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, with burial in Bethel Cemetery, Town of Center.
