Georgetown - Ernest Cribb, a former resident of Georgetown, died at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., early Wednesday morning after a long period of declining health.

Funeral services were held Monday at eleven o'clock in the Duncan Methodist Church. Officiating was the pastor, the Rev. Penden Gene Curry. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Mayer Funeral Home.

Mr. Cribb, son of the late Edwin B. Cribb and Sarah Ann Owens Cribb, was born in Georgetown County on February 26, 1893. He had spent most of his life in this area and only a few years ago gone to make his home in Minnesota.

Mr. Cribb was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors included his wife Mrs. Ethel Altman Cribb of Minneapolis Minn; two sons Ernest Cribb Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla. and Edwin Cribb of Minneapolis, Minn; three daughters Mrs. Ray (Elizabeth) Aune, St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Denley (Ethelyn) Bowe of Minneapolis, Minn. and Mrs. Ronald (Margaret) Rise of Denver, Colo.; two brothers Sarvis Cribb and Rufus J. Cribb, both of Georgetown; and four sisters Mrs. Bell Avant of Lancaster, Mrs. Anna Altman, Mrs. Frank D. Smith, and Mrs. James H. Tedder, all of Georgetown. ©
