Donough O'Donovan

Son of Denis O'Donovan [1871-8 Aug.1911] and Julia A. Barry O'Donovan [4 Mar.1874-May 1967], of Airfield Road, Rathgar, Dublin, both of whom had been born in Skibbereen, Co. Cork.

Julia Barry, daughter of John Barry and Julia Hourihane, was a relation of Gearoid O'Sullivan and a first cousin of Peadar Ó hAnnrachain, and a distant cousin of Michael Collins

Donough O'Donovan was The Chief State Solicitor of Ireland.
He was appointed an Assistant State Solicitor in 1932.

Marriage.
Donough O'Donovan, a bachelor, a Solicitor, from 10 Garville Avenue, Rathgar, son of Denis O'Donovan (deceased), a Merchant, married Florence Kenny, a spinster, from 69 Sandford Road, Ranelagh, daughter of James J. Kenny, a Civil Servant, on 8 September 1936, at The Church of The Holy Name, Beechwood Avenue, Ranelagh, Dublin.
