Hall of Fame Major League Baseball Player, Manager. He spent seven different decades in the Majors as a player, manager, executive, and scout. He started playing baseball for the Washington Senators in 1919, and, in 1924 (at the age of 27), he took over as player-manager of that team. He hit .333 with two home runs to lead the Senators to an AL pennant and World Series title that year, and then led them to another AL pennant flag the following year.
