Father was Jacob Detzler who died about 1859 in Waterloo Co., Ontario, Canada. Mother was Anna Riem who died about 1852 in Waterloo Co., Ontario.

Nicholas and Magdalena had a set of twins born Feb. 12, 1882 in Wheatland Twp., Mecosta Co., Michigan. Their names were Jacob Detzler and Anna Detzler.
