Kittanning Simpson's Leader-Times (May 16, 1970) Dessie (Geiger) Bowser, 85, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Orr Avenue in Kittanning died Saturday morning at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born August 10, 1884, in Echo, the daughter of Benjamin and Angeline (McIntyre) Geiger.
Mrs. Bowser had made her home with her daughter Mrs. John (Ethel) Patton in Springfield since 1967. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kittanning.
Survivors include a son Merle L. of Emporium RD 1; a daughter Mrs. John (Ethel) Patton of Springfield, Ohio; a brother, O.[Oscar] S.[Shields] Geiger of Echo and two sisters, Laura (Mrs. Boyd) Weaver of Rose Valley and Ella [Mrs. Howard Torrence] Schreckengost [Schrecongst] of Butler; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
