Emeline was married to William R. Baker who was in the 58th North Carolina Infantry, Company E, and died in December 23, 1863 in Atlanta, GA.
Her parents were Rice and Elizabeth (Moore) Medaris. She had a sister named Amanda Rebecca Medaris who married Robert Felix Estes and a brother, John Enzor Medaris.
