MRS. HENRIETTA BAUER
The funeral of Mrs. Henrietta Bauer, who died Wednesday at her home, Gay street and North avenue, will take place at 3 o'clock this afternoon. The service will be conducted at the house by Rev. Edward Huber, pastor of St. Matthew's German Lutheran Church, assisted by Rev. Conrad Twele [sp?], of Friedens Church. The body will be buried in Baltimore Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Messrs. E. Herman, H. Vossel, E. Goeble, J. Whitefor, C. Lappe, Louis Meyer, William Schwartz, H. Ashauer, William Baltz, C. Rhoemer, H. Twele, and F. Schrandner.
Mrs. Bauer was born in Germany 72 years ago and had lived in America 32 years. She is survived by three sons--Messrs. Henry, Otto and Fred Bauer--and one daughter, Mrs. Henrietta Schmidt. There are also seven grandchildren.
Note: A grandchild who went into the family business, Fred C. Bauer, married Wilhelmine Friederike (Minnie) Schwarz (b. 1872), daughter of German immigrant truck farmer Gottlieb Schwarz and Margaretha Blum Schwarz. It may well be that the "William Schwartz" mentioned above as a pallbearer was Minnie's eldest brother, William.
