A. Allen Passes Away in Prescott Sunday
Alma Allen, 87, passed away in a Prescott hospital last Sunday, May. 13. Services were held Monday, at the Cottonwood L.D.S. church with Verd A. Hanks officiating and A. Louis Petersen and Rudy Schurig as speakers.
Mr. Allen came to Apache county in 1872 and had lived there until he moved to Cottonwood in 1946.
Surviving are two sons, N. C. Allen of Cottonwood and Ray Allen of Cloudcroft, N.M.; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Wilson, Springerville, and Mrs. Louella Nunnelly of Cottonwood; and an adopted son, Joe Bigelow Allen of Cottonwood.
All were here for the services.
Also attending were nine of his 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Cottonwood cemetery with the Cottonwood Funeral chapel in charge of the arrangements.
