Margaret Jane Goad, 84, of Bowling Green died April 25, 2009, at a Bowling Green nursing home.

The Clay native was born Nov. 23, 1924. She was a housewife, a mother and a factory worker. She was a member of Gamaliel Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late James Carl Baker and Mabel Elizabeth Knight and the wife of the late Glenn D. Goad. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Holly Goad.

Graveside service is at a later date in Gamaliel Cemetery. There is no visitation. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Potter Children's Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Gibbs of Houston; three sons, Danny Goad of Bowling Green, David Goad of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Dale Goad of Olmstead; four grandchildren, Brian Gibbs, Daniel Goad, Cody Goad and Christy Goad; and four great-grandchildren, Abby Goad, Erika Goad, Dylan Goad and Christopher Gibbs.
