Clayton Evan Saunders was the son of the late Samuel Edward and Rachel Catherine Houck Saunders. He was married to Maude Ann Bias on 21 MAY 1902 in Huntington, Cabell Co., WV.

Clayton is survived by two Daughters and one Son: Daphne Irene (Joseph) Brouneus of Corning, NY: Phyllis Allen (Billy Joe) Holtzworth of Huntington, WV: and Malcolm Franklin (Mary Eloise) Saunders of Apple Grove, WV, several grandchildren and gr-grandchildren.
