Olive Allred Acord, daughter of Isaac and Mary H. Allred, was born 13 Feb 1859, in Ephraim, Utah. Her parents settled in Mt. Pleasant, where her father was killed after which her family came to Spring Town where Olive received some schooling.

She was married to Fred S. Acord, living in Chester for a few years, then returning to Spring City. Olive was one of the first Retrenchment Society Vice Presidents under Anine Larsen then became the second YLMIA President.

In 1901, after her return from Chester, she served as Relief Society Treasurer for 10 years and also was "Secretary of the School Board and took the School Census for five years." Mrs. Acord also served as Primary President and Counselor, Ward Religion teacher for 12 years, Relief Society teacher, and genealogical delegate to Salt Lake and San Fransciso conventions.

Her husband died in 1889, leaving her a widow for many years. She also served as a Manti Temple worker for nearly nine years. The mother of four children, Olive passed away 7 Apr 1926.
